Season Of The Witch
Halloween
is the season of
ghost and goblins.
When the sun sets early
and the long nights
seem darker than before.
The trees creak
in the Autumn wind
and everyone walks
a little faster
past that old
abandoned house.
I don’t usually
scare easily
but when I got word
in October that my ex
was back in town,
that really put
the fright in me.
