Smoking Hot Love
They said smoking would injure my health.
I lit up a menthol, feeling the cool vapor
Swirl down my throat in a gust of ecstasy.
He found me in the garden, under a tree,
Where the smoke curled around my head,
Like an angel’s halo, and caught me in his arms.
Dragging on that butt, I blew smoke rings
Into his mouth. He swallowed them whole.
My coal burned with red-hot passion.
He took it from my fingers and put it to his lips,
Inhaled quietly, and exhaled a gentle
Cloud of smoke across my face.
I breathed it in, inhaling the essence of his love.
He crushed the butt under his foot,
Pulled me to the ground,
And unbuttoned my smoke-perfumed blouse.
My heart burst into flame.
Thank you for publishing my poem! I am sharing it on my blog and social media today.
